Hackathon Extension Details

(Effective after initial submission deadline)

What’s changing

• New submission deadline: September 29, 2025 @ 11:59 PM UTC (extended by 2 weeks)
• Demo Day will de Skipped
• Winners Announced on October 6th
• Scope: Same hackathon, same rules; this is extra time to build and polish

Why we’re extending

• More projects: Give builders additional time to ship quality work
• Late-announced bounties: Extra time specifically to support the Meson bounty and the GinsengSwap bounty

Fairness for on‑time submissions

• On‑time bonus: Projects submitted by the original deadline (September 15, 2025 @ 11:59 PM UTC) receive a 1.15× multiplier applied to their final judged score
• How it works: We run standard judging using the existing rubric, then multiply the final aggregate score by 1.15 for eligible projects
• You can keep building: Teams that submitted on time may continue improving their project during the extension; the bonus remains based on the original submission timestamp

Multiple submissions encouraged

• Teams that already submitted on time are encouraged to ship a 2nd or even 3rd project during the extension window
• Independent consideration: Each project is judged independently and can become a finalist on its own merits
• Multiple prizes: If two distinct projects from the same team place in the top 5, the team may receive multiple prizes (one per winning project)
